Why Breeders
Choose Donatello
A lot of horses compete, but just a few are remembered.
In a marketplace filled with horses that look increasingly similar, distinction has become a competitive advantage. Donatello gives breeders the opportunity to produce horses that attract attention, create conversation and leave a lasting impression. Not just because they are different. How Does
This Work?
Donatello is a FewSpot Knabstrupper stallion carrying the rare double homozygous genetic combination LP/LP and PATN1/PATN1. In practical terms, this means he consistently passes the leopard complex (LP) and pattern genes responsible for producing distinctive spotted offspring.
For breeders, this significantly increases the likelihood of producing patterned foals while maintaining the qualities expected from modern sport horse breeding.
The results speak for themselves.
To date, every Donatello offspring has been born with a spotted coat pattern, demonstrating the remarkable consistency of his genetics.
Bloodline
& Origin
“Built to Perform. Born to Stand Out.”
Donatello is a licensed breeding stallion with the Anglo European Studbook (AES) and a purebred Knabstrupper. Donatello comes from a family with proven sporting ability. His full brother, Dinoso, has successfully competed in eventing, demonstrating the athleticism, versatility, and trainability present within the bloodline. His pedigree also includes established warmblood sport horse influences, among them the 1.30m jumper Lapis Lazuli, while his dam line traces back to the respected Conetti Lynghøj lineage.
Now based in Portugal, Donatello is beginning his own sporting career alongside his role as a breeding stallion. With his combination of rare genetics, proven pedigree, and athletic potential, he represents an exciting prospect for breeders and sport horse enthusiasts alike. Donatello embodies the unique qualities of the Knabstrupper breed: distinctive appearance, strong character, versatility, and performance potential.

The Future of
Distinctive Sport Horses
For decades, sport horse breeding has focused almost exclusively on performance. As a result, many exceptional horses go unnoticed. They perform. They compete. But they fail to leave a mark.
Donatello offers breeders the opportunity to produce horses that combine athletic potential with immediate visual distinction.
In a market where recognition matters, standing out is no longer a luxury. It is an advantage.
